"Users can import medical records and create a profile (including allergies, immunizations, medications, etc.), which are stored in a database, and available to users' individual doctors. Eventually, people may be able to upload data from other electronic devices -- including their shoes or their pedometers -- in order to track personal health progress."

Actionscript 3 lecture
I have registered for Colin Moock Actionscript 3 lecture - it's going to be great!
Update: It was a great day with lot of people turning up and great venues too! Actionscript is very interesting and the lecture was great with light heart joke - overall great fun and educated day for me.

Adobe pacific (australia) launch software subscription service!
I came across this invitation in my mailbox today, yes folk, Adobe australia is launching software subscriptions for their Adobe Creative Suite 3 Design Premium Subscription Edition. This looks very interesting as they give you two options of subscription model - monthly with no contract or yearly 12 month at the cheaper rate with bounding contract - I wonder which should I choose?

3d camera ready soon?
Stanford researchers cram 12,616 tiny lenses into a 3D camera
The system works by focusing each lens above four different overlapping sensor arrays, which work in concert to determine depth -- just like your eyes. Unlike similar systems, the Stanford rig is able to use that data to create a depth map without lasers, prisms, or even complex calibration, which will allow the team to shrink the tech down to compact and cellphone camera size.
